ACTS ART STUDIO – CODE OF CONDUCT
Behavioral Policy:
Students should conduct themselves in a respectful manner with both fellow Members and Instructors a like.
No verbal or physical abuse will be tolerated. There will be a warning prior to cancellation of your possibility to continue developing AND attending the Studio. Students are asked to respect the work and space of other students as well as the studio environment in general. Make wise use of paints and keep their brushes and working stations clean when finished. Care and caution should be used when handling all tools, equipment, and materials used in the making of projects. **If in any case the member makes bad use of ANY material, involved person will be asked to pay the amount determined by AAS.
Food and Beverages:
The AAS considers this space a NUT FREE environment. Anyone who attends with their snack is welcome to do so in the designated areas. Beverages on non-spill containers are accepted. Hand washing before and after snack is expected of all participants.
Dress Policy:
AAS Members are asked to dress informally with casual, appropriate and comfortable clothing. Any type of dress that will restrict the student from fully engaging in the art making process should not be worn. Art making will get little messy! Art aprons are provided for each member, but there will inevitably be times when an apron may not protect the entire body from paints, printing inks, and other materials that may stain clothing. Please use common sense when dressing for art and craft class.
Drop-off/Pick-up:
AAS values your consideration to have the Studio times start and finish on time. As a matter of respect to others, we appreciate your efforts to be on time before and after each time slot. Extra charge apply for any late pickup.
Makeup/Missed Classes:
Classes missed due to personal reasons can be made up ONLY during our makeup class dates stated in the AAS Calendar. Statutory holidays are not considered missed classes; therefore, they cannot be made up during our makeup sessions.
Payments can be made by cash and EMT. For individual reservations joining an existing class, classroom seats are held once full payment is received.
